The purpose of this Leading to Change programme is to provide a safe space for you to connect with other people in the system and to explore an equality, diversity and inclusion theme together through informal conversations.

In this session, we welcome Satwat Rehman, CEO of One Parent Families. Join us in conversation about how our values can guide us as leaders.

Satwat Rehman

Chief Executive, One Parent Families Scotland (OPFS)

Satwat is chief executive of One Parent Families Scotland and has more than 30 years’ experience in the voluntary and public sector in Scotland and England, working in the fields of equalities, education, employability, economic development/regeneration and early years and childcare. Since joining OPFS in 2011, she has been a member of several commissions and advisory groups and is currently a member of the National Advisory Council for Women and Girls, and co-chair of the Just Transition Commission.

The session will include an introduction from Satwat summarising the key messages from her blog, including how values and a desire to make a difference can shape our leadership journey and develop a path to a fairer and more just society.

After that, participants will be paired up in small groups and invited to have a conversation.

Diversity Coffee Connect is open to leaders at all levels and stages across social care, social work and health in Scotland.
