This session explored the responsibilities of leaders in embedding a rights-based, relational approach to Corporate Parenting across NHS Scotland. We reflected on how to lead change that puts Care Experienced people at the centre and what it takes to shift systems, practice and culture in our services.

Children’s Rights Specialist Lead at NHS Education for Scotland

Nick has a background in policy, strategy and participation, with experience influencing national reform through work with the Scottish Government, The Promise, and Care Experienced communities. He is committed to creating systems that are rights-based, relational and shaped by the voices of children and young people.

In his role, Nick focuses on enabling collaboration across health boards, improving workforce understanding of children’s rights, and helping leaders translate legislative duties into meaningful action that drives cultural change.
