The session was presented by Katy Styles, Clinical Lead for Realistic Medicine in NHS Grampian, with support from Ali Keast – Senior Educator in NHS Education for Scotland. This was an inspiring session on leading with authenticity and courage in health and social care. Through real-world examples and practical tools, Katy explored how Realistic Leadership can drive meaningful change by:
- Applying a public health approach to improve care pathways
- Managing risk through open, constructive conversations
- Using the pillars of Realistic Medicine to support confident, values-driven leadership
