Welcome to our new ‘Spotlight Sessions’ – events designed to raise awareness of an idea, approach or research that we believe could interest and inspire those involved in social work, social care, health, and related third and voluntary sectors. These sessions are open to all and recommended for anyone across all sectors interested in understanding more.
Reflective supervision is making sure we are looking after the most valuable resource we have: our staff. Supervision ensures monitoring the standards of service provision and adherence to company policy; it also focusses on staff development needs and their wellbeing – or so it should. However, training in reflective supervision is not always a priority for leadership in health, social care and social work despite severe retention and recruitment issues in the sector.
In this session, we will focus on why reflective supervision is important and how it can be achieved.
We welcome Karin Heber as our collaborator for this session.
