Leadership Bites Series 2: Session 1 – The Four Types of Conversation
- Date and time
- Thursday, 29 May 2025, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm (GMT)
“The essence of communication is intention.” – Werner Erhard – American author and lecturer
In this session, we will explore why understanding the type of conversation we are having can significantly enhance our communication and help improve the outcomes we are looking for.
Sometimes we find an interaction has not gone the way we expected and realise that the other person, or people, were having a different type of conversation, with a different intent.
Join us for an insightful session on “Knowing What Conversation to Have,” where we will explore the Four Types of Conversation model. This offers an insight based on the direction and tone of the conversation and considers the purpose of the speakers involved.
By recognising the type of conversation you are in, you can better understand the intent and purpose of others involved and navigate it more effectively.
This session will provide practical steps to identify and adapt to these, looking at how to manage them for you and your team.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Describe The 4 Types of Conversation
- Explain how this is relevant to your role
- Identify one step you will take to improve your communication as a leader
This event is suitable for both those who do and do not manage teams.
