What does trans allyship look like in a time of hostility and ongoing legislative challenge?  Trans people continue to live, work and exist alongside us when legislative protection for trans people feels threatened. Now more than ever, it is difficult to know how to champion trans allyship in an age of uncertainty and global insecurity.

In this event, we’ll explore how we can challenge dichotomies of cis and trans to strengthen our allyship, shared histories between minoritised groups and hopes for our shared futures in allyship together.

What you can expect:

We will start the session with an introduction from our guest contributor, Oliver Wain, who will provide us an opening perspective. Then participants will be put into smaller groups to allow for deeper reflection and conversation.

About Diversity Coffee Connect:

The Leading to Change Diversity Coffee Connect programme aims to provide a safe learning space to connect with others across the sectors and have important, informal conversations about equality, diversity and inclusion. The sessions are open to leaders at all levels and stages across social care, social work and health in Scotland.
