“In a racist society, it is not enough to be non-racist. We must be anti-racist.”Angela Davis

Join us in celebrating Black History Month 2026 and the theme Honouring Our Communities, in a special edition Diversity Coffee Connect.

We come together to explore how anti-racism strengthens our workplaces, services and communities. Through conversation and shared reflection, we will consider the influence we each have in creating environments where everyone feels welcomed, respected and able to thrive. We will also explore the everyday opportunities we each have to influence positive change.

Whether you are new to these conversations or have been engaged in this work for some time, we invite you to bring your questions, insights and curiosity as we explore what anti-racist leadership looks like in practice across health, social care and social work.

What you can expect:

We will start the session with an introduction from our guest contributor, Priscilla Marongwe, who will provide us an opening perspective. Then participants will be put into smaller groups to allow for deeper reflection and conversation.

Prior to this event, to help inform our conversations, we encourage you to have a look at some optional, suggested reading on this topic:
