Leading to Change Book Club

“The quality of everything we do depends on the quality of the thinking we do first.”

Time to Think by Nancy Kline

Welcome to a space for leaders at all levels who value books as tools for personal growth, self-leadership, and critical thinking. Each 60-minute session invites open conversation, reflection, and shared learning through a featured leadership book chosen by our community.

  • A selected leadership book to spark discussion
  • Safe, inclusive space for dialogue and listening
  • Breakout and plenary group conversations
  • Collective insights captured as “Bookmarks”
  • Opportunity to build new connections and networks

History of Leading to Change Book Club

It’s all invented. So we might as well invent something that enhances our quality of life and the lives of others.”

The Art of Possibility by Rosamund Stone Zander & Benjamin Zander

The Leading to Change Book Club was created as a response to the growing interest in using books as a meaningful tool for leadership development. It emerged from the Leading to Change community’s desire to create a dedicated space where leaders at all levels could come together to reflect, learn, and connect through shared reading experiences.

The idea was to offer a relaxed, yet purposeful environment that encourages thoughtful dialogue, personal growth, and collective insight—recognising that books can spark powerful conversations and help leaders engage with diverse perspectives. The aim is to offer an open and inclusive space with each session shaped by participants’ input and curiosity.

What previous participants had to say…

“I loved this. It was a really fun way to learn. I hadn’t read the book as I got a space last minute, but I am aware of the author’s work and concepts through TED talks and podcasts. Despite not having read the book I was made to feel very welcome and still learned lots and have lots to think about and I will definitely be reading the whole book now!

“Great excuse to take time to read/listen to a book and expand my learning and challenge my thinking. Love spending time with others and learning and sharing.”

Our group discussion was great; I felt listened to, respected and we all had time to discuss and share our thoughts.”
